We were delighted to be asked by the MIS team to redesign their website to showcase their vast range of services and incredible success stories.

The Challenge

Design a striking new site to promote MIS services

Achieving stand-out in the competitive consultancy market is a challenge even for Microsoft, so the new site had to be impactful,  informative and reflect the needs of the target market.

The MIS team’s priorities for the new site were to:

  • Provide a clear showcase of MIS’s market leading product and services.
  • Feature human centric case studies and the life changing impact on businesses.
  • Deliver thought leadership through experts like Omar Abbosh.
  • Integrate the MIS branding throughout the site.
  • Adhere to the strict brand guidelines, protocols and framework of microsoft.com.
What we did

Research based UX design, within the microsoft.com framework

  • Our first step was a discovery phase to understand the current MIS site map, the target audience, industry best practice and the team’s goals.
  • We interviewed MIS staff to understand what they wanted from the site and conducted an in depth analysis of MIS’s key competitors to understand the market and identify improvements and gaps.
  • In collaboration with MIS, our UX team created representative user personas and developed customer journeys to inform the design process and optimise the user experience.
  • Using the insight gained from the discovery phase, we created a content strategy, working closely with content creators to showcase the impact of their work across a vast array of industries and businesses globally.
  • Our designers created a strong digital brand identity within the new MIS brand guidelines and identified opportunities within the microsoft.com system to bring the new MIS brand to life through imagery.
  • The result was a striking, informative and simple to navigate site that met all microsoft.com guidelines and worked within the templated MS framework.
  • To ensure the new site was optimised for search, our SEO experts conducted a full audit of the existing site and provided the Microsoft developers with their technical SEO recommendations.
Results

A creative, user-friendly, stand out site

  • The new website designs were presented by Ben Rudolph (Global Creative Director) to all 16,000 MIS employees at the monthly ‘Town Hall’ event, prior to the site launch.
  • The MIS team love their new site and enjoyed working in collaboration with us to deliver it.
  • We are excited to be continuing our partnership with MIS, working on the discovery phase of another great new project, so watch this space!
