Move in May team challenge
Team Bolser hit the courts over at Optimum Padel as part of their Move in May challenge.
Padel has gone from niche to everywhere in a couple of years, so when our Move in May challenge needed a team event, the choice was an easy one. Fast, social and a real leveller, it suits a whole team rather than just the few who happen to be sporty.
The team headed to Optimum Padel and took over their indoor glass courts for an evening of matches. Padel is quick to learn and hard to leave, which makes it a genuinely good team sport. Within minutes everyone was rallying, and the competitive edge was not far behind.
What followed was a proper tournament, a fair amount of laughter, and scorekeeping that would not survive a recount. Ellie came out on top to take the title of Bolser padel champion, and a rematch is already being discussed.
Move in May is a simple idea. Get the team active, away from the desk and moving together. Regular activity really helps energy, focus and mood, and it lands better when it is shared. An hour on court builds more team spirit than most structured away days, and everyone finished fitter than they started.
There is a wider point in there too. Strong teams are built off the clock as much as on it, and the effort and shared goals on court carry straight back into how we work.
Thanks to Optimum Padel for hosting so professionally. We will be back, and next time the scoring is staying honest.
