Tarzan Swings, Tightropes and Tapas

Team Bolser swapped desks for tree tops and headed to Go Ape at Temple Newsam.

Team away days don't come much bigger than this one. On the hottest day of the year, the Bolser team swapped desks for tree tops and headed to Go Ape at Temple Newsam for an afternoon of team building.
What looked online like a fun woodland course turned out to be both physically and mentally challenging for even the biggest adrenaline junkies amongst us. Obstacles wobbled, tightropes swayed, and a few of us discovered a fear of heights we didn't know we had.

Zip lines and Tarzan swings kept everyone fully focussed, and for the bravest among us, the final plummet off a bungee rope brought the loudest cheers of the day, with the rest of the team shouting encouragement from the ground below.

With the ropes conquered, the team traded in their harnesses for something a little more civilised. On the walk into Leeds city centre, we paused to watch the solar eclipse with some friendly neighbours from the Marshall's Mill estate, before settling in for a Spanish-themed evening of drinks and tapas overlooking the River Aire.

Sangria, small plates and a much-needed drop in temperature made for the perfect way to unwind.

Away days like this are about more than the activity itself. Facing a genuinely tough course together, cheering each other on through the nerves, and then relaxing as a team afterwards whilst 'laughing through the pain' are all about creating special moments and building positivity.
What's next on the bucket list, team?
