Front End Developer

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced web developer with commercial web application experience in PHP to join the talented team at Bolser delivering website solutions for some of the World’s biggest brands. We deliver exceptional work for high profile clients such as Microsoft, Xbox, Minecraft, Football Foundation and the Premier League.

We want a resourceful, problem solver who understands the importance of producing code to a high standard. You will be part of an experienced, collaborative team working on recognised digital products delivered through a structured, Agile process.

The role will be based in our Leeds office with an optional 2 days a week working from home and flexible start and finish times.

As a mid-weight frontend developer at Bolser you will be:

  • Responsible for front end development using modern development tools and frameworks including:
    - HTML & CSS / Sass
    - JavaScript - including ES6
    - Vue.js
    - Tailwind
    - Webpack 
    - Web services and API integrations
  • Writing clean/dry code while following best practice and modular building techniques.
  • Working in cross-functional project teams to provide timely solutions to challenges.
  • Working closely with the design team to problem solve and create lean and modular interfaces.
  • Being able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people

We are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years Front end development experience
  • Object Oriented JavaScript
  • Experience with popular Front End Frameworks, e.g. Vue, React, Svelte
  • Strong CSS skills ideally with Tailwind experience
  • Comfortable with fast moving environments and meeting deadlines
  • UX/UI knowledge
  • Experience of TDD / BDD
  • Knowledge of Drupal 8+ & Blade templates an advantage
