This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Front End or Full Stack Developer with a robust background in commercial web and application development, to join the talented team at Bolser, delivering exceptional digital solutions for some of the world’s biggest brands, including Microsoft, Portakabin, AIG Life, Football Foundation and Xbox. 

You will be joining an experienced, collaborative team of 12, working on recognised digital products delivered through a structured, Agile process using SCRUM methodology. As a mid-weight developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing user-facing features for our various client projects. You will be expected to build reusable code and libraries for future use, optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability, and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

• Develop new user-facing features using Vue.js
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions using PostgreSQL
• Use Node.js to develop server-side logic, define and maintain the central database, and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end
• Implement security and data protection strategies
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Effective documentation of code
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
   

• 4 years + proven experience as a Front End or Full Stack Developer
• Strong knowledge of Vue.js and its core principles
• Experience with GraphQL and Node.js
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and database technology
• Knowledge of NPM and other package managers
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field would be beneficial.
